i think i should reclarify regarding a vinyl release if i misled anyone.

i had information from a trusted friend regarding a burial vinyl pressing. at the time he thought it to be the album. enthusiastically and excitedly i jumped upon the chance to share this fantastic news with the forum.

it transpires that the release being reffered to was the ep repress and not the album at all.

if there is going to be a future vinyl release by burial i would think it is going to be remix led, or included none album tracks.

as martin highlighted the economics of releasing this album on vinyl don't really work, even given the support for it's release.

big up boomkat.

i've already had it confirmed to me that this record is there biggest seller of the year.

:o really? if this album doesn't sell any dubstep album will do... I'm hearing everyone talking about it these days, it's having a huge impact, not only on the dubstep scene but also in others, as you say it should sell a lot...

It'd make me very sad not to have a vinyl release.

The thing is not about the type of disc, it's about it's content imho...

Update for the london crew:

Couldn't find the Burial album anywhere today. I checked everywhere in Soho. Most outlets weren't sure when they were getting it.

Selectadisc mooted tomorrow but couldn't say for sure.

Blackmarket will have them in Monday.

It will sell very well on cd. But the problem for a vinyl release the audacity of doing a triple pack. Or if you drop tracks, which ones? For me this album works as a 12 track whole and that is one of it's key strengths.

boomkat should package the burial and benga joints for a lower price...like a combo deal ting. it would be such good exposure for newstep.

those are both incredible albums and the two together are like...wowsers

Likewise...but mine's just been sent at last and will hopefully arrive soon, so they're on the case. And, on the plus side, the wait has meant that I've had more time to appreciate the excellent Boxcutter CD...which I suspect might've passed me otherwise.

you right might. It would be a hard choice to select which tracks would be pressed.

I am waiting for the CD, the fucking delivery to Ukraine will take 6 days or so

You could fit this album on a double LP, no need for it to be a triple pack if it was released on vinyl :) It's not exactly DJ friendly material anyways (although I'll still be playing it!), so having the pressing as loud as possible wouldn't be an issue... vinyl all the way :D
