just some curiousity and my never lasting seek for good music...
what do the dubstepheadz listing to besides dubstep?

something like, if you are into dubstep... you'll probly like this as well!

i presume most of you south londeners are rolled into dubstep via 2step, grime and dnb (is it?).

id grown up with some oldskool Hip Hop (PE/NWA/BDP) and later electronic music (early nineties upon)... also reggea/ dub and funk (j brown till Ninja Tune) actually listing (and playing) a lot differnt kinda music, for me its got to have a certain energy... like the UK sound :D

anyhow, "Better Dub From Studio One" (SO D LP 0001) its an oldie, but one fckn brilliant album, one of my vinyl juwels... for the pplz who don't know this one, you'd better check it out soon!

HipHop!

80s stuff like Juice Crew (Kool G Rap being the best imo), EMPD, BDP, PR, Main Source, i adore lots of the DITC stuff, Showbiz and AGs 'Runaway SLaves', OCs 'Word...Life', Big Ls 'Lifestylez of...', Diamond Ds lp, all gems.

MF Doom was my fave artist for like three years! Operation Doomsday is straight genius, ViktorVaughn I also. Not oo sure about his newer more commerical stuff tho!! Wu obviously, 36 Chambers is out of this world, plus GZAs Liquid Swords.

New Skool - Anti Pop Consortium are brilliant, Company Flows 'Funcruser Plus', Cannibal Ox 'Cold Vien'.

And then Electronics! Aphex Twin and Autechre obviously, borderline-ambient isht like Ryuchi Sakamoto, Susuma Yakota, Fennesz, then love Matmos, Herbert clicky house, Merzbows noise, Muslimgauze, Andy Weatherhall/2 lone swordsmen/sabres of paradise.

The list never ends does it!

Oh yeah and Grime of course. Newham Gens, Neckle Camp, Wiley, Ruff Sqwad, whatevers going.

I listen to a bit of almost every genre. even a bit of (good) country now and again/.

But these days, mostly dub in the morning, dubstep the rest of the day...

Unless my Ipod is on shuffle...then anything can happen
