anyone ever used or currently uses one? i've had one offered to me for what seems to be a cheap price, read around a few reviews and things and everyone seem to think its the bees knees. i havent produced any electronic music before, but i'm not worried about the complexity of learning the thing, you gotta do what ya gotta do :)

Think you might be better off going for the emu x, as it does keep things inside the box. Mind you I was using a hardware emu for years, so it's not as big a learning curve

I had one years ago, I always liked it, pretty easy to use and good filters but I wouldn't pay more than £50 for one these days. Hardware samplers seem very cheap at the moment, even the Akai S5 and 6s are going for between £200 and £300. If you're getting it for a good price is worth having as long as there are no sticky buttons and the rotary controller still works fine.
