Wazup, can any1 tell me of any sites were I can find a free trail for a software sampler? gotta do an asignment for college tomo and aint got 1 and dont fancy buyin 1...

Yeah shortcircuit is wicked. Clear layout, you can get ideas down quick with it, and the best thing is it works like old hardware samplers, any sound can haver any filter/envelope fx setting, grouping is easy. A refreshing change from the bloated Native Intruments samplers.

That looks pretty good - all about strict funcionality. And it looks like a software interface of a hardware sampler. There's loads I miss about hardware samplers, and this could be just the ticket..

I can recommend SFZ from rgc:audio which can be downloaded on their site:
http://www.rgcaudio.com/. This one is free-ware and has the cleanest sound compared to all other expensive software-samplers (there was once a test on maz-sound.com)
The disadvantage is that you don't have a fancy interface, you kind of have to program your multi-samples, but that's not that difficult and there is a good tutorial on the site.
