lol. yeah - he's pretty intimidating, but he was really welcoming and generous too. plus, the dude's fucking intelligent. Knows a lot of stuff about a lot of things.

Good interview. I've got nothing but love and the biggest respect for this man. I was expecting him to show Dubstep bigger props though. I thought he'd love some of it.
He talks about Dubstep being like early Dillinja. What like Sovereign Melody? Deeper Love? Maybe even The Angels Fell? I'm not sure I agree. Bass has moved on. By its own standards D&B is a little stagnant at the mo in terms of new sounds. Dubstep's moved the boat into a wider direction again.
I'm sure he acknowledges with his carriage metaphor at the end that other music is making its way through the doors he talks about kicking off.

I dunno if that's ignorance in regard to dubstep or some kind of DNB RULES ALL attitude.
Legend nonetheless no doubt

That's a really good read, remember reading interviews with him when Timeless came out and he's had a pretty interesting life. Seeing how innovative his tunes were at the time, I can see why he wouldn't necessarily find dubstep as interesting as some

Cool - that's Kobi. he's fucking going for it and just want to take this opportunity to give him a big shout for hooking me up with some absolute coups for my portfolio.
the man really gets about and he's a machine (except when's he's "really tired"

).

he actually said some dnb at 33rpm or old dillinja records - not the two phrases together
hes not 100% wrong though lets be honest

I Missed this thread (and found it whilst googling) but had to add that this is a very good interview with a very talented & intelligent individual, I'm guessing he gets Dubstep now seeing as Skream's remixing stuff off his label.

Havn't read a decent interview like that for ages. Very thought provoking, thanks for the share.

I reckon it's another one of those 'if he weren't famous he wouldn't have much to say worthy of note interviews'

"worldwide dominance" this sentence tells a lot hahahaha.
in the year or two, as far as i can see here in my town, maybe half of dnb auditory will start to come to dubstep raves. They are just
worried about their fukin asses and their fukin money. fukin ignorant.
