Best MIDI Keyboard!

Hello people.
Im new to this dubstep forum malarky and im finding it very useful in pickin up hints and tips on dubstep production so thanks to all for that.
Iv made a few tunes now but i wanna step it up a gear an get myself a MIDI keyboard.
Im lookin for one thats pretty cheap and cheeful but also has all the basic features you'd want. Ill be using it with Reason 3 btw.
Any advice in this matter would be much appreciated. cheers

I've got whats basically a kid's keyboard from Evolution/M-Audio. It has 37 keys but theyre, tiny, no features, no nuffink. But you can do everything after you play it in in reason innit. Oh shit yeah its not midi either though cos you need a midi interface which costs about £50, it is USB, plugnplay baby!!! Thats what I like about it, you get a bit of range and its simple as fuck, you just go to preferences in Reason, got to MIDI, then select USB device. Boom. ps. If your willin to make more than a £35 pound investment, unlike me, maybe you should get something along the lines of the Oxygn8, which is meant to be good.

I use one of these

I've got an Axiom 25. It's all kinds of awesome. The trigger pads (it's basically got half an M-Audio Trigger Finger on it) make it so much easier to play with drums and samples, instead of "clicking in" drum patterns.
But then, I just like hitting things.

Got the Emu X-Board 49
It's a lightweight but the keys feel very solid.

There's alot to be said for good contol keybourds, but there not that impotant unless you intend to do a lot of keybourd heavy tunes. I'v been using a peace of crap thing for years. I don't play the piano.

the evolution keyboards are pretty cheap and efficient. i have one of these i'm selling as i've replaced it with a korg microkontrol. its a bit small, but does the job nicely, has templates for ableton, cubase etc and has drum pads for triggering loops and fx as well as sliders and knobs - which i'm sure i'll figure out how to use at some point!

yeah man its nice with all the controllers and knobs for live use..but deep editing is a diffrent story..
