with dubstep, grime and now bassline music coming out of the UK, is it safe to say that the UK now has a better and more progressive attitude towards electronic music than the America's do now days?

A lot of musical styles come from here and there but both countries are important to each others musical growth. Tbh its not really a case of where the music has started. Dubstep owes its success to artists from all over the place.

no competition, its just in music the US and UK get compared a lot.
i get the impression that the US see's its self as the bad ass daddy when it comes to urban culture and music.
My question really should of been, "what does the US think of the UK scene, with stuff like dubstep, grime, bassline ect... and how does the US compare?"

It's not about where you are from.

Outside of Detroit (techno), I can't think of any current American music that I like. I'd say about 75% of the music I listen to is from the UK.

This is all very interesting, but what i wanna know is whats better between Latvian ballroom dancing and Yemenese drum n folk music, both scenes are very similar but so very different at the same time.

i much prefer the grace of the Latvian ballroom dancing scene. Yemenese drum n folk has got the raw energy but it lacks that certain je ne sais quoi
