USB soundcard input connection question

Just bought a new laptop and looking for an external soundcard to buy. Searching other threads I like the look of this:

http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/F ... -main.html

Obviously for DJing its fine, as it has two sets of phono outputs I can use, however I'm not sure how I would go about using it to record from my mixer as it has two separate balanced inputs as far as I can see.

My mixer has phono connections for its recording output -> is there a such a thing as a pair of unbalanced phono connections to single balanced xlr connector cable? If so where can I find me one?

Ta!

Mixer > phono to 1/4mono jack cable (split left and right) > fast track pro > USB cable > Laptop.

The inputs on the front of the FTPro take 1/4 jack plug.

very much in the same way as the Mbox and other soundcards.

i could have sworn these had phono-in last time i looked. (on the back panel) hmmmm...just had a look and they don't i must have been imagining.[/img]
