Dubstep n00b

Hi everyone

im in the middle of my first stab at producing some dubstep. i have a little experience with making electronic music but by no means am an expert!
any feedback on what i've got so far would be great and suggestions even better! ill be having a crack at some sub bass soon

I would say your off to a good start.


Those vocals gotta change IMO.. Either shorten em, change em or get rid of em all together.

First of all create some variation in the drum loop, it's very repetitive, so try cutting it up a bit. And that bit of reversed filtered white noise gets annoying too, so maybe find another effect to go with and alternate them. Get rid of the baby sample!!! That bline that kicks in at 2:04 ish, I like it, keep working on this. Look to the production bible for some mixing tips etc.

yea that whooshing noise had gone already, it pissed me off before i read this
