just curious to see how many of us are using Ableton Live and if so, what version? also, what do you primarily use it for?
i use it for pretty much everything - sequencing, djing/making mixes, hosting vsts and some mastering.
i am using live 7.
the sampler is my best friend.
i've also always been curious to see how others have their sequencing done. just for the fuck of it, below is a track that i'm working on:

I've been fiddling with it for DJing. I have also used it to make soundscaped soundtracks with my short film work.
Impressive stuff. But as always I need more time to focus on things.

been on it for abt 2 years now, fuckin love it. version 5 i think im runnin but wouldnt mind gettin my hands on a legit copy of 7 when i got a bit more money. use it mainly for writin beats but have used it to mix tunes in the past and would like to use it's live capabilities a bit more in the future. doubt i'll ever be converted fully from vinyl tho.

I love this program, awesome for sampling, and i love how you can get a basic framework for the track done in the session view, then transfer it to the arrangement view to give it structure.
Would love to use it for making mixes too, but the knobs are really wonky on my midi controller, so any eq / crossfade action is a bit wild, would love to invest in one of those Behringer controllers (BCR something, completely slipped my mind, shit)

Kinda unsure on how i feel about Live.
Was really pumped on it, i feel now tho its somewhat pigeon holing me into making loops. Have a bunch of loops but no actual song construct.
Control on it im really feeling.
Just turn it on and everything auto maps to my controller as i add intruments or whatever. Same goes for individual instrument control.
It does bug out on occasion, causing a whole comp restart...
Using Live 7.02

I'm using FL7 at the moment but have just got Ableton Live 7.
I've had a play and got a copy of a tutorial DVD (whcih is for live 5) and it does look good.
As im a fruity user though i find everything backwards like having to record everything and just the general layout.
Can u just click in your patterns instead of having to actually record everything?

you dont have to record everything, you can draw in midi notes just like in the reason sequencer (never used fruity but i assume its the same)...
