hello, I'm yet another dnb head who likes the brooding sway...
knocked this up in a few days, got a bit of a jazz chanteuse friend in it, interested to see what you lot think.
Isotone & Infectious - I Wonder Dub
(geek disclaimer - bit of an annoying hi aliasing ring in the sub

so i'll prob mix it again if people like enough)

very interesting track
i think the vocals are too dry. i think it would be effective drenching them in reverb more
the track in general does feel a bit too busy, and i think it could do with more space. for example more reverb on the snare.
maybe have sections where the hats etc are less intense, and the rythms are more sparse.
i don't really like the organy bit - gets very muddy especially when the sub comes in.
the intro and outro are very heavy. the transitions between the sections need work as well.
if you do some more work to this, i think you'll have a seriously good track on your hands.

Thanks dude, good feedback and very interesting, we have spoken about doing another mix down and a much more minimal version.
It was alot of fun writing this track, laughed and joked alot.
All feedback much appreciated.
big up

pretty mean in parts. I'm with David on this one. Sounds in parts like it gets a bit too busy... some of the highlights for me are when the slow breakdown comes in and most of the percussion goes away...
the hats really tend to annoy me here. 1:22 that bass drop is killer. definately going to be a great track when you get done... or at least it has the potential. I actually like the point when the rest of the percussion kicks in after that breakdown... and in some parts, I think the sample works... not sure how, but I think it could sound a bit better if it was more distant in the mix, if you know what I mean... more ethereal

its got alot of nice ideas and potential, if you can tidy the mix up a bit this track would be rude.

anyone who has heard any of the other productions by this man and his kru can attest to the production skills. No doubt about it. Isotone will be making some sick sick sick tracks, in any genre.
