i don't feel like i wanna be writing an essay today but i have to otherwise i won't really be able to home and see my girflfriend this weekend...you might like the question aleks

'The telling of a story is always bound up with power, with questions of authority, property and domination' Discuss to what extent the possession of the narrative voice gives the narrator power over the characters and/or the reader.

:D

I always want to disagree with quesstions like this, what a riduclous sweeping statement. However obviously the narrator has power over the other characters as you view and opinions of the characters will be through the narrators eyes and will therefore be subject to his biases and prejudices’.

well yeah it's GOOD if its a ridiculous sweeping statement, cos then i have lots to argue about! but iv only got 1500 words to do it in! and 2 novels and at least 4 critical texts :/
