Benga appreciation thread

Seriously... I was a little unsure about the new stuff I'd heard until skreams show last night. Thought a lot of it sounded quite samey and rinseout... but after the stella sessions it's so easy to see the versatility of the guy. That dubby tune near the beginning is sick, proper 4x4 rhythm and sound-esque stuff, and the broken beat-y rhodes tunes slay me every time. Hate to use the word but they're fairly jazzy, but not cheesy and "smooth", and they still retain that dance music flavour. You can really tell he's learnt his theory.
Fuck, the percussion too
Big up Benga!!

I was just round at skrimshanks listening to some classic Benga and his collabs with Skream on big apple yesterday and he/they have certainly come a long way in the production stakes. Likewise with S&D on texture. Definitely one of the more *musical* producers around. Liking his sound a lot.

Bengas sick and his laugh is contagious in a next way. Newstep is deep, even my girlfriend likes it, especially 6306. I'd love to know why that tunes called that. He's got one sick Jungle book/Indian sounding tune as well. Did he make slaughter and all? Massive repetoire. Massive variation/orginality/consistency/continuity
