u mean load plug ins, or install them?

never used 5, but if u mean load, go to the channel strip of an audio instrument track. theres probably a little greyed out box with EQ written in it with sum little rectangles underneath for effect plug ins, and below that the I/O symbol and another little rectangle. click on that rectangle and u'll get a lsit of available instruments

or if u meant install, dunno on PC, wherever the plug ins folder is on yr computer's hard disk, er...

If you need to install them as vst, install them to the VST Plugins folder in your Logic folder

I used it for a long time while working on some projects done by different people in a studio. The very positive note is it works like a charm reading audio even on slow harddisks, but you better not mess too much with environment and automation or you gotta get crashes every like five minutes

Have you tried triggering sound via the matrix edit keyboard?

its probably just not set up at all.

old logic was a fuckin ballbreaker, u had to configure everything manually, cant even remember all the shit u had to do now. fuckin hated that part, got it set up 1ce and tried never to have to deal with again. sorry.

where's shonky, he'll know

what does "can't get it to work" mean in this case? when u click and hold on the plug in slot no pop up menu is revealed? or there is a menu but theres no VST's on it (am I right in saying there wont b any AU plug ins on a PC version?). what is there then? or do u get plug ins but they dont make sound?

not working means not audio output, i can bring up albino, but when i press keys theres no sound. i have been fiddling around on logic(changin settings etc) for a few hours and havent had a single note come out of the program

Audio<Audio Hardware and Drivers

Then just select the drivers for your soundcard. You need to install your vsts to emagic/logic 5.5/Vst plugins

To be honest though, I'd use Cubase if you're just starting or switch to Mac - this technology is 7 or 8 years old now, you'll get things done quicker and easier with newer software and sound quality will be far better

yes,

noticed massive difference in sound when trading up to logic 8 from logic 6. and massive decrease in headfuck too since it went over to mac from emagic. Logic may have seemed logical to its creaters, but remained an esoteric mystery 2me till apple took it on

just cos benga uses it doesnt mean its good
