That's a bit much if you're selling in bulk, yeah.

I'd definitely like to see a list.

Yea shipping will be a bitch.
I live in the states and sold 1000+ dnb vinyls in bulk to one guy in New Mexico.

Talk about taxing. =/

you'll be hard pressed to find someone willing to spend £2k on your collection :) selling 500 records individually and having to ship them all out to different people could become a pain as well, i dunno

perhaps the best way is to sell in batches, either on ebay or by posting up a list with people having to buy ten or more at a time

sucks that you have to sell though

selling a bulk lot of 500 I think you'd be lucky to see more than £1 per record really dude

id break them into lots of 40 or so if you don't want to sell individually, grouping them by what you think they're worth

Yeah id probably go for the individual selling. :|

Im sure they prolly wont all sell first time aswell (if you do ebay or whatever?) and you could sell the rest as bundles?

Either way, sorry to hear you have to sell, cant be a good reason :( would love to see a list though.

i've sold a fair few dnb records on ebay. usually sell 'em in themed batches of 5-10 records (by label/artist/style etc) got reasonable prices for everything i've sold. just make sure you find out what the postage will be and charge accordingly...i mean in th UK sending 5 records by second class mail will be about 8 pound.

Yer probably a good idea to sell the more rare ones individually and then the one's that everyone has in themed batches as already said.

I just hope you've REALLY given the decision enough thought. I could never ever sell all my vinyl.

I don't know the reasoning behind selling your records...but if you need money that bad you should just rob an old lady or something....that vinyl is precious.

It will take time but you should wait for a free or cheap listings day on ebay.
Check each release on discogs,(i know its a bit crap but gives a ball park idea of value), and separate the ones with value above £3 and ebay them separately with a minimum bid of £4-5 less than the lowest discogs price.People will bid on a rare item and there are people who spend all week watching ebay to resell records of any genre.
For items that are not rare if you list them with a minimum bid of £3 each then you will get people who will bulk buy in order to save postage costs, and occasionally an item will get multiple bids and you get a bonus.
Make sure you draw attention to listings by including descriptions like;Grime or Dubstep or Rare and Classic cos there are people out there new to the scene who wanna buy tunes cheap, especially in mainland europe.
Remember most of these tunes had less than 1000 pressed and there will be buyers for most of them.
If you sell privately to a record shop or dealer they will give you a bare minimum and 500 tunes aint that many.
You could possibly bulk list the lot on ebay with a reserve of £1500 cos it would possibly be seen as an investment by someone ,cos in five years they will be worth more.
Also one final idea is if you ebay them, list them for a week wednesday to wednesday ,and copy paste item descriptions and pix from discogs and dont forget to grade the vinyl.
Hope this is some help.
ps have you got hard graft -mrk1 vs plastician :)

10 day listing mid afternoon thursday. Ends on a sunday and you will get 2 weekends worth of browsing.

Fucking hate giving away good tips like this, but you seem like you deserve it.
