I know what you're saying, its that shop what got me into production to a extent, saw some bloke in there playing about with a synth and making weird sounds while I was looking for a electric drum kit with a mate.

Might have to pay it a visit tomorrow!

I think it's because people never buy anything in there, they (I) just walk in to try out the latest incarnation of the Nord Wave, realise its not as good as Massive for making dirty wobbles, and then walk out again, zero pounds and 20 minutes well spent.

Happy state of affairs more like. Turnkey have been hated within the music industry for time!

Turnkey was the biggest waste of space in London with regards to music.

Here's why:

1: Shit staff

2: Shit advice

3: Shit aftersales

4: Shit prices

5: Shit staff

6: Oh, and shit staff.

All in all, pretty fucking shit.

i got my monitors, keyboard, soundcard and software there :|

Didn't know it was overpriced. It was in tube distance 4 me so thats why I always used it.

What other shops are there in London like Turnkey?

I don't want 2 go on some 2 hour journey to a warehouse tho.. I'm talkin about somewhere in / near central..

for now sound control is still alive and kicking in the basement of virgin records on oxford street but the whole reaosn turnkey is closing is bcos of the losses the sound control group has suffered (the company is now in administration!)

also digital village got branches in west & north london, with big branch new branch in clapham

theres plenty of shops like Rose Morris whihc is about twenty steps from turnkey (denmark street)

also - turnkey was shit

so the physical store is closing/closed?
