LEEDS WAREHOUSE PARTY 14th June, DJ Storm, Sappo, Shitmat, I
Posted: Tue Jun 03, 2008 8:11 am
Limited’ 14th June 2008
£10 adv tickets (tribe, crash, jumbo + skiddle.com)
Born out of a frustration with the usual generic club experience, Limited strips it down to the bare essentials: hi-quality artists powered by hi-spec systems. Forget the sticky carpets and mirrored walls, Limited seeks out the best abandoned spaces then brings in the sound systems, lasers, graffiti and skate artists required to turn it into a proper experience. For its inaugural session, Limited takes up residence for one night under a railway in the Bath Road Arches (five minutes from Leeds train station); filling five connected arches and mezzanine floors, the 30k system powers the foremost artists in electronic music while the outside depot is temporarily transformed into a sheesha garden. In a club scene where mainstream venues scramble to cash in on the ‘warehouse aesthetic’, Limited delivers the real thing.
Storm (metalheadz)
Recognized as ‘Best Female Artist’ at the UK’s National Drum’n’Bass Awards this year, Storm continues to be a leading presence within DnB music.
