I had this problem years ago when i first started using MDA degrade. I e-mailed the developer and the workaround is to just make a bunch of copies of the plugin file but rename them, something like mdadegrade1, mdadegrade2, etc. Then just make sure you whenever you add a new copy of the plugin in your project that it is has a unique name...

TC Native bundle includes the sonik destruktor, also there's an Audio Damage vst that crushes the bitrate and distorts etc
psp nitro has bitcrushing capabilities.
also if you have reaktor then you can easily find an ensemble if you search on the NI site, though to download you'll have to own a legit copy
Someone here mentioned the MDA, I haven't had firsthand experience but I believe the MDA pack is free.
edit... just realised it was you that mentioned the MDA pack

hmm just checking the TC electronic site to see if I could hook you up with a demo and the native bundle has been discontinued
here's some info on the sonic destructor anyhow...
(note my first error in the above post thinking they used K's instead of C's like most companies do

)

You could use the scream 4 device on digital settings in Reason.
Also, Fruity waveshaper/CM waveshaper can do nasty things
Finally, proud owners of Cubase/Nuebdo SX 3xx have some nice bundled bit distruction vst's...
Isotope vinyl maybe???
Search for bit distruction plugins at
http://www.kvraudio.com/get.php for a good starting guide to what's available...

E-Phonics LO-FI or FM Crusher are pretty good for that type o thing.
Check kvr website cos I think the FM crusher was only available with future music mag.

A couple of ancient plugins are still pretty usefull - Trasher 2 and Lo-fi plus. Both degrade the sound very differently whenever 1 doesn't sound right the other usually works

I've searched google, yahoo, kvr + various p2p networks and I can't find Subtek Lo-Fi plus anywhere. The Subtek website has been parked too boot.

I note that on KVR it says it was freeware to begin with (
http://www.kvraudio.com/get/694.html). Under the circumstances, will you post the .dlls as it looks really fun to use!
Many thanks!

Sure no probs - if I forget send me a message 2 remind me, I think both the plugs are freeware and very simple but I use them all the time especially on the more IDM/Electro influenced stuff. Also can sometimes be used to give a bit of treble hiss to your subs I do that a lot - gives the bass loads more weight.
