just for reference sakes, is it mandatory to have this kind of copyright babble stated on a release?

i was just curious because if i had a label, i wouldn't want it on the print work.

i just meant that, by having it on the label you'd have something to stand on if you ever had legal problems or had to take someone to court. without it, you have nothing to stand on. thats all.

wouldn't public humiliation and a general lack of respect within a scene for a producer be far worse than a fine? or is it to do more with major label producers nicking your tune idea for a shitty chart song and then selling millions? out right ripping off i can understand, but saying you shouldn't be lending and broadcasting. the copyright regime can go such my balls.
