Does anybody reading this know a way for recreating the vocal effects of Stephen Hawking's robotic voicebox?

I've tried using the metallergy sound destructor VST and Reason's vocoder without much success, as they don't allow you to recreate the irregular modulations in the voice. It's used in enough music, (Radiohead, psylob), so I guess it's not too complex...I just can't figure it out... :D

Nice one - the first link doesn't work but the second one is about right; trying to work out the phonetic spellings now!
