Silkie & Quest smashed it, but something has to be said: Security were wankers. Hate to be negative, but inside and out they were stnuc. I had a good night, but others didn't.

Bloody awesome from start to finish! I'm still all hyped up! Might have to go to FWD tonight! Silkie and Quest set was better than the one they played at Dubpendence I reckon (which was pretty damn good itself!).

Only saw one guy get dragged off a few hours in or so, security seemed cool at the start. Seemed like they might've over-reacted slightly.

Oh, and I didn't think the toilets were that bad...

Ha, one of my spars got collared on the way out by the security as he was caught taking a sneaky piss where he shouldn't have

There was four of 'em in total and two tried grabbing him

but he's a strong lad and broke free

reckoned that they were going drag him into the basement 'dungeon' and give him a thorough going over

not the man-bird though as she wasn't about

Anyway, I didn't witness any of this but do know from attending previous DMZ's the fuckeries security try to get away with

However they're not all bad, seems to be the Eastern European bullyboys mainly

Was a good night though and worth forsaking sleep for

yeah, Silkie and Quest no doubt smashed it

One man's set was wicked also. As somebody who latched onto dubstep a bit later than some it was great to hear classics being dropped like Earth a Run Red.

Appleblim dropped some deepness also

Props to all involved

Out to Benny for playing Horror Show. Standard
D1 for playing Neverland

DMZ brilliant as usual. New Coki tune played after road rage is sick.
Silkie Quest was quality. Good to see them smashing it up with their sound.

Pictures soon come

Such a wicked night, out to Boomnoise fighting on the floor!

Highlights were:

Loefah playing some deep tune that had amazing chords and male vocals, eyes were clamped firmly shut at that point.

Silkie & Quest were too many danger. Brocking out so hard to their productions. I love seeing DJs which are into it just as much as you, movement behind the decks from both of them.

Oneman: Future Underground Nation - 'It's The Way'. Two pullups, 'nuff said.

Big big night! Was great the whole way through, but I was too tired when it came round to appleblim and had to leave at 5.20 :(. Ended up falling asleep on the bus home and waking up at the last stop anyway!

Security at Mass are definitely getting worse. I accidentally bumped into one of the bouncers in the crowd (and not even in a big way) and he properly freaked out at me. Definitely can't smoke in there any more too, but I understand that's just their job...

Also, we really got to get something other than stella and fosters in, can't deal with these lager hangovers!

Finally, anyone know what happened to distance?

''Best DMZ I've been to in ages.

There's no vibe like at DMZ really, sounds cheesy maybe but its more of a community than a crowd at some points.

System was probably best I've heard it, flagged a bit right at the end but most of the night was loud pretty much everywhere and in some places was nostril shakingly loud.

The music was top quality, was especially happy to hear so much variety- garage, grime, jungle... and a variety of rhythms and styles in dubstep terms too.

Benny was heavy, played a few digi classics (Horrorshow, Pathways etc.). D1 was GREAT, upbeat rhythms and a mixture of old and new. Digital Mystikz- the vibes for their set at DMZ is always special. Personally got a bit bored at points with the metallic wobble stuff but having said that some of those Coki tunes are NUTS. Came back in after a smoke to see Mala finishing up with some stunning tunes (Pinch's 'Rise Up' RMX), the last tune with the epic intro and two-note bassline grrrrrrrr

SILKIE AND QUEST SMACKED IT! Highlight of my night I think, was pretty into it at the start, went out for a smoke again, came back in to see the last 30 odd minutes and was completely swept up in it. The tune that Broken Heart RMX (another one of those times where I remembered how much I love that tune) was mixed into was dirt, really punchy sub bassline. And then out of Broken Heart RMX into Stand Exclamation Stunning tune, the way it breaks down for ages and builds back up to that drop. Those three tunes finished me off. A tune like Stand, so meditative and slow burning, getting full play at DMZ summed up why I was so pleased with the night in a way- it wasn't all about bashing instantly releasing bangers, there was room to manoeuvre.

Tron killed it as expected, all those garage and grime classics, so good to hear them on that system in that room. The D'explicit type tunes brought energy.

Finally Appleblim's set was again superb and ballsy in terms of playing some really experimental, minimal and deep stuff when it would have been easy to just roll out filthy stompers. It was a shame the system wasn't as loud as it had been but only to be expected. Anyway, that RSD tune 'Over It' again killing it, another RSD tune too. The Pev RMX of 'Waterfalls' is next level. And out to Brackles for getting his tune played and pulled up by Crazy! Sounded sick on the system too. Finally the hardcore/jungle was great, gave me a last burst of energy to finish off the night.

Anyway, all chin-stroking aside the most jaw dropping thing I witnessed all night was dubluke ranting about zombies.

Big up all I saw, especially the stamina lawn crew who witnessed Jubscarz' mental initiation into the crackhead christian crew.

Didn't seem all that busy last night but I suppose after the 3rd Birthday everything seems less busy.

Big up DMZ!''

silkie and quest's whole set basically as well. Silkie was on a hype- nice to see some charisma and energy. Test, stand and the second tune killed it.

big up all i caught up with, managed to blaze a zoot or 2 inside without security clocking, so as far as i was concerned they were alright

they were a bit off, hashmoney was lurking on a chair and this bouncer came up to him and just goes "either get up, or FUCK OFF HOME!!" which seemed kinda offy :?
