----------------------------------------------------

*The old pack I posted can be downloaded from here. It contains more plugins with less variety, and also a PDF picture guide to using reaper.

*Worth noting is the simplicity of the two bundled synths and drum sampler. The second synth is more complex than the first, thus providing a decent learning curve for those of you just starting out in music production.

*Feedback regarding the pack appreciated! :4:

wicked idea, this would also be perfect for all those people who have shitty old laptops lying around that aren't fast enough to run the hungrier DAWs...

Wicked thread!

Good point about Reaper although the 'non-pro' license costs pocket money anyway.

This should be a sticky, especially if Futures Untold doesn't mind keeping the original post updated with the extra suggestions.

I'll what I use in a bit too, pretty much all of that's freeware...

XT isn't free, although it's not expensive either.

It's good but version 1.4 has been discontinued and version 2.0 is still a bit rough around the edges - lots of really good stuff but a few annoying little bugs and a couple of annoying big ones. I still use it, though, it's got some great features and some really good workflow stuff...
