Lovely. Been smokin spliffs and taking in the rays on my balcony today. We've got loads of lakes here in Finland but I haven't dared to try swimming yet, the water might still be a bit cold

Doesn't suit pasty folks like myself, was quite enjoying the ongoing winter. Can't seem to write tunes when it's hot, but scantily clad ladies makes up for it in spades. Drinking down the beach with senorita in tow tomorrow, so does have it's upside, as long as I don't get dehydrated, fall asleep and wake up red with enormous fuck-off moles.

100%. Really doesn't help when you have a hangover.

Right, that's it - Civil War!!!
The beer in the south is generally cooler, as we pay far more money for it so that it can be refrigerated and then poured to 2/3rds capacity by a snooty miserablist who harbours a life-long hatred of drinkers, yet seems to spend half their life surrounded by them. Presumably they'll write a book about it which will be summarily ignored, until it gets made into a less than interesting series on Radio 4, which will no doubt accompany the subconscious meanderings of pensioner snoozes in the afternoon.
Actually I think that's just one pub down here I'm thinking of, but I just fancied a rant.
I like a good rant me

Heat induced rant back: actually these days a lot beer is being served far too cold. The best temperature for a lager is 8 degrees and for an ale 11 to 12 degrees - anything lower really does kill the flavour and probably fuck up your insides.
Coors Sub-Zero is just stupid - pints at -2.5 degrees - proper silly
All this said. I could really do with a cold beer right now.

Mostly absinthe and laudanum nowadays...must remember to get fresh servants to work the fans when these ones die.
