He released quite a jazzy-breakbeat garage record on RAT I think that's a bit older though

yea he did man, Beyond This World. He did the release before that one on Rat Recs as well with some wicked 2-step tunes on.

I didn't realise he was behind Almost Human as well, done quite a bit of broken beat stuff of late I think.

Got a copy of his Eversol ep on Palette somewhere... Pretty good techno release if I remember rightly. Also had his Beyond This World ep on Rat Records, though it got trashed. Hard to believe it's the same guy. Would love to hear what he's doing these days.

I'd love to get my hands on the instrumental of Beyond this World. Rat only put out the vocal version :-(

Abstract lives in NYC and plays in a rock band.
No longer produces garage. He was at a gig I played recently (he actually works behind the bar at the venue) and he was into the new dubstep tunes. He's not really in touch with what's going on in the scene anymore though. Seems to have moved on.

definitely - "stormtrooper" from that record is riotous. the previous 12" he did for palette, "you used to know", is also excellent, if not better.

True. He's an SF head / NY transplant. Alex is good peeps, serious! His d+b back in the day was on f'ing point as well. I saw the last band he was in before he moved, and they were pretty damn innovative. Who's he playin with now, and are they good?
