Get your releases reviewed - sittingovation.com - any format

Sunday just passed, I spent a good hour or so sitting listening to Dubs on the forum and posting feedback, and all the time I was thinking, If I could highlight some of these guys as good producers, aside from giving them some feedback, then why don't I do so. I think some really great tracks get lost in the archives, or beyond the 2nd page in the dubs forum.
Earlier in the week I'd registered www.sittingovation.com with plans for it to become a sarcastic blog of sorts, but after Sunday I started thinking about combining the two, and offering reviews of dubstep releases.
So here goes.
I've sorted the site (aside from any early bugs etc which I can iron out over time) and the domain www.sittingovation.com - so All I need now are some releases to review.
Here's what you can do...
- Highlight your release for me, so that I can hear it in some way, whether it's a link to some mp3s or the tracks in a player somewhere.
- Provide me with your producer name, and any other relevant info e.g. where people might be able to get it/ buy it or download it and so forth.
- if there's any artwork, send it over if poss.
- You're welcome to send me a download link for a high quality version, but I'm not going to ask for that up front - because I don't want to be viewed as someone who's just looking for lots of promo tracks etc. It's not about that.
What I'll do for you...
- Post it on the blog www.sittingovation.com
- review it to some degree of detail
- put up relevant info
- do my best to promote the site as it starts to grow, although it'll take a little while to build up the hits
---
I'm not looking for just single tracks really - I'd rather review EPs, or LPs, just so everyone's not firing over every track they make in a bid to get some feedback. It's more about helping everyone promote their releases, whether self-published or otherwise.
I'm also going to try and be honest with these reviews. Sure - it's personal taste that it comes down to really, so I have to try and consider everyone's views - but I guess people will learn about what I like and dislike and gague their own views on that too.
I expect I'll try and update the site as much as I can, but obviosuly I'm based in the UK, and evenings and weekends are the best times.
-
I'm open to people sending me releases too. Email is fine provided you're not sending massive mp3 files - and perhaps sticking to links. Posting stuff is great too. I can email my address on request.
-
So hopefully with a little support I can build up a nice resource for people.
