yep. been waiting for ages for the live dvd thing that was meant to be coming out, as well as the new version of time machines that was talked about.

saw them at atp2003 though they were wrong for the mindset I was in at the time so had to leave.

if you haven't already check out http://wassonii.blogspot.com/

absolutely hanging out for both of those releases myself. had the priviledge of seeing time machines live in london festival hall back in (i think) 2000. was an awesome spectacle.

unfortunately one that will never be repeated though :(

From HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS onwards... long term COIL fan here. They are a great influence on my stranger works-

also, with their attitude towards Magick.

i have also a lot of music by them, but i do not like each track, one of my favourite albums is Black Light District/ a side project name/ released in 96, also good one is this one with Nasa - Arab track on it, it has really long name. Sometimes i play in my mixes music by Coil.

Black Light district- 96- the year I met COIL at a party in London. They were giving away c.d.s of that album at the party! COOOL!!! However, I did not get one because they had run out! BOOO!

My late friend Alex played on one of their records.

i don't have black light district. seems like a recommendation. will hunt (as long as it's not one of those prohibitively expensive ones).

thats great one, with the Nasa Arab, it reminds me to times i played on a radio show / i hosted like 30 minutes for electonics in alternative rock show @ the national radio in my hometown/, and when this track was on, old grandmas and grandpas called for what is that alert signal and all that

this is the Black Light District one:

I don't know that one.

Re: Trent Reznor.. wouldn't Sleazy have something to say? If he ever comes down from his mountain?

"One day, I'm going to fall.. your going to fall..."

Spooky stuff.

they're all sadly expensive. World serpent were never cheap.
black light district v.2 was released as the new backwards. never came out on Nothing because they never finished it...

COIL music should be bought from THRESHOLD HOUSE. Sleazy Pete (the surviving half of the legendary COIL) has expressed that he does not mind the copying and file sharing of his music. Like most here, he believes that good music is the right of everybody. Pirates charging cash and not giving the artist any..

For COIL's music, and a whole lot of other inspiration and obscure delights, I recommend RESONANCE FM 'digital radio' which is currently being served by Last FM.

STEAL FROM THE RICH- NOT STRUGGLING ARTISTS.

Love, anarchy, and sweet sounds,

:? i just bought the cd, where i leave finding music is really hard back there in time. few good albums for not so much money, hmm dunno, i mostly buy original cd's and records. but somehow it is really rubbery if u got the from big mail orders, it is good if u can get them directly from the musicians or not so expensive shop, for me Juno is something i will never pay in.

anyway

Coil sound nice

One of the modern bands with anything sensible to say on the subject. Esounds- if you are an orthodox Christian, you might find some of their material a little difficult!
