shelving for decks.

going to have a hungover diy session on sunday, boshing up a shelf for my decks.
can any handy andys out there suggest any tips, or pitfalls to avoid? i've been told to put a layer of perspex on top..

I'd like to help, but any DIY advice from me would almost certainly result in your house falling down. Then you'd really be angry.

Just bought a plank of MDF from homebase and used storage boxes to raise mine up to elbow level.
no more risk of back injury

^^^ was pretty much gonna say this...
get a plank and some
milk crates (or whatever you guys call em)
or cinder blocks (or whatever you guys call em)
stack, place board on top, and brock out!

Yea chunk of wood all the way mate then make some big storage boxes to sit the wood on JD! its blatently gona end up like homers bird table but wel see. lol.

Jacked some mdf from work and cut it down to size to make my shelf wider so I can put the monitors on.

I used a door on some adjustable saw horses for a long, long time..
..sort of large but will fit a crate and monitors as well..

these are the plans for my deck table cabinet, I'm going to carve a picture of two octipus' on the top. Its 90cm high which I have been told is the offical hight for DMC battles though how true that is I do not know.

I think it might be referring to scale, as in, 1mm on this piece of paper = 1cm of actual wood..?
