About 10 percent of Icelanders believe in the existence of a "huldufolk" or a hidden world of elves, dwarfs and spirits with magic powers. Another 10 percent deny them, but the remaining 80 percent on the North Atlantic island nation either have no opinion or refuse to rule out their existence, a survey shows.
Refusing to deny their existence shows that they believe in them in a sense.

No it doesn't - it shows an open mindedness. It's similar to the debate about God.
Some people believe it, other's dont, and some are open to the possibility that there MIGHT be, because the're no evidence for or against it at the moment.

Maybe you are just a bit touchy because I posted about Icelandic people who believe in huldufolk and you just happen to be from Iceland with the name Frodo.
