Thinking about putting together a festival...

Lets say I were to organize an summer outdoor weekend camping festival somewhere in the northeast, featuring some of the best underground hip-hop, dubstep and bass music. Nothing fancy, just a few hundred people camped in the woods, with DJs playing on a small stage- very intimate and nothing expensive. I am on a very low budget. DJs I have in mind (though have not discussed this with anyone yet): Joe Nice, Mungo's Hi-Fi (out of personal preference, not locality obviously 8) ), Excision, Starkey, Dev79... to name a few.

For 2 days and 2 nights, and 50-70 dollar weekend pass, how many would buy a ticket?

With answer leave suggestion for Northeast US DJs to invite.

i like festivals.

where northeast? for someone in toronto, that means quebec / nova scotia. for someone in jersey, that means massachusetts. big difference, especially in the laws.

Hey yo this is a great idea !!! I actually know of the perfect place to have this show, there is a small town called Sterling in NY that is on the eastern end of Lake Ontario, south of Oswego. Sterling Stage - its basically an old christmas tree farm thats owned by one of the original roadies for the Grateful Dead, and dude's brother is the town judge so everything is secure and secluded with what goes down there - basically camping and the all out freedom you want - ridiculously chill space. They mostly do bluegrass festivals with a jam and reggae thing but I wonder if they could expand and open up a date for electronic styles next summer.. obviously money talks but its a small grounds thats perfect for a festival of like 200 - 600 people possibly more..

http://www.sterlingstage.com/

If you're thinking upstate NY you can't pass up checking this place out for an all out boogie bang weekend camp and rave.
