anything with a lfo to cut off/resonance/envelope etc should do the trick.
minimonsta is sick.

cool man, yeah i tried to get my head round absynth3 too: all them graphs were too much after a stogie or two. i'm sure if you took a long enough time over programming it you could get amzing sounds, personally i haven't got the patience. good to get real deep atmos from absynth though innit.

you can always just assign a filter in the FX channel and then automate the cutoff

docwra do you make your own waves or sample the wave first so you virtually have what you want to begin with.

z3ta+ is the finest synth i've ever used
technical guff
i won't pretend to understand things like
6 Morphing capable LFOs, 4 global, 2 local (per-voice), all host Tempo Sync capable.
One-shot LFO mode.
60 waveforms, 10 user waveforms.
Individual Offset, Delay, Fade In, Morph Time, Speed, Tempo Sync and Key Sync mode controls.
10 LFO combination modes: MORPH, ADD, IADD, SUB, ISUB, MUL, MIN, MAX, HALF1, HALF2.
or
Modulation Matrix
16 row modulation matrix with Source, Range (min/max), Curve, Control and Destination options.
24 modulation sources, including all LFOs, Egs, main Oscillators, Attack and Release velocity, Unipolar and Bipolar keyboard tracking, internal functions and polyphony.
Min and Max modulation adjustable.
12 modulation curves, including Linear, Slow, Fast with normal and reverse polarity, and four pitch curves.
but what i do know is it can do anything; bass, pads, leads, whatever. it's got 6 oscillators and it sounds amazing. can "sell" you a copy if you can't find anywhere to "buy" it.
also
Frohmage is a sick resonance filter that never fails to turn basses into chest shatterers

Bruv you got any tips for z3ta? was having a play around with it the other evening and it was doin my noggin. Couldn't work out how to assign an LFO to the filter cut off.

to be honest with you i think i'm only using about 10% of its potential, as i don't have a manual for it
however, i
do know how to do that!
i couldn't find a blank picture of the matrix, so ignore these settings..
under Source select the LFO you want to use, then under 'destination' go filter1 or filter2 (or All Filters) then select Cutoff/Resonance/whatever you want to modulate. Range is the amount & direction the lfo does its stuff in, left click to go left to right or right click to go (cunningly) right to left. it's like the 'Amount' wheel in fruity, if you use that..
sorry i'm really bad at explaining this sort of stuff
i'm sure there's a great deal of tutorials out there for z3ta i've just never got around to looking for them ;[
