Different strokes for different folks.

Personally, if I was after samples I'd either a) Sample them myself or b) Grab a free pack somewhere (like the DSF contest :D)

The sample packs you pay for are prob the worst kind of samples to get hold of.

Fail tbh.

well

some peeps just don't take advantage of the free stuff

I used to work at a music store and I sold alot of sample packs

mostly to the rappers using "freaky loops" (hee hee)

the people at producerpack actually make some decent packs and if you were a kid without the means to create your own samples, they are a goldmine

*no I do not work for producer pack

Some geezer was spending over 2k on software the other day in Turnkey. He was asking the blokes in the shop what to buy and he didnt have a clue:( he had more money than sense.

I felt like saying I could help him out for much less:p

yeah I like to buy software

having an Ilok for your sequencer will keep your room mates out of your studio

Fail tbh.
Vengance...

Can often be the case, but I've had a few gems off Ebay like a complete selection of all the early Korg presets and a very special Coldcut one. Also the latest Ez Rollers, Nu Tone and Danny Byrd ones are sick.

all bassline sounds the same anyway cos the producers have each other on msn and juss send the same samples to each other. no lie. thats y u get these guys hu have produced for less than 3 months bringing out these proffesionally sounding tunes because they just structure a load of samples together, very minimal work is done on the sound production side of things.

(with the exception of a handful of actualli talented guys * virgo, t2,ts7,dj q etc.)

Um... this pack is actually pretty good...
drums and Fx wise theres some really nice stuff on it.
I'm not big on using loops but the one shots and single hits are some of the nicest i've heard on a sample pack.
Bassline and Niche Producers would deffo have a field day.
No I don't work for producer pack either.
*desperately salvages credibility*

You think vengeance samples are bad? those are without a doubt the best premium samples available, and im pretty sure they are all engineered by only one guy, but you wont find anything for dubstep in those packs really (ive used some claps and percs but mostly in layers.) those samples are good for hardstyle and hardcore though

VIP Zone has some wretched samples

If you wanna sound like the 98 % of bassline producers then buy it!

If your really on muisc then be creative and make your drum packs lol
