What were those Caramel Jelly Syrup Desserts that you could get at Netto, Aldi, Lidl etc? They looked like yoghurts but you turned them upside down. Proper European cuisine!
Anyway, it's jelly-style back reminds me of that!

wow, just looked up flan and loads of pictures like that turn up as flans on google. a flan's a sponge based sort of thing though surely? what's the world coming to?
