I was never really into Garage but have been listening to quite a bit recently. How come people like Zed Bias, Horsepower cru, Artwork etc all had the same sounding basslines? were they all using the same hardware/software to make them?

Curious to know about it.

thought it may sound like a retarded query after I posted it tbh:)

It makes sense in my head tho. A lot of the stuff them artists above use to make tunes and their basslines dont sound as good to me as most dubstep stuff today.

take these tunes for example

Well the RIP Groove bass sound wasn't original in the first place. Majorly over used in copias Jungle tracks many moons before Double 99 jumped on it.

The same could be said for the Zed Bias - Neighbourhood bass. A reasonbly flat Reece sound with some short sub drops underneath - Jungle tip

As for the bass in the Wookie track - pretty unique in my eyes, that guy was totally original.
