How do i run cubase as an administrator or get it to "run with admin right"

I'm trying to get the real strat guitar vsti plugin to work. I have many other plug ins and they work fine, but real strat wil not make any noise.

i read on the internet that if i run cubase sx 3 as an administrator it might work.

Does this mean anything to any one? can you you help me?

if you right click on Cubase on your start menu and theres a 'run as administrator option' under vista, or under xp its in one of the tabs in 'properties'

i think thats right, i cant really be bothered to boot up my windows box to check

I've just had a good look through the properties on the start menu ( i have xp) and couldn't find it, next time you use your windows could you check where it is for me? i'd really appreciate it it. no immediate hurry though man, thanks!

ive just had a quick poke around, and if you right click your the icon on the start menu, theres a 'Run as...' option. Give that a try.

I tried - I think I might already be the administrator.

My basic problem is:

Everything in cubase seems to be working fine with Real strat; I selected patches and a level is reading on the mixer for the midi channel, but it isn't going through to the overall level channel, or the sound card channel + it's not making any noise in my speakers.
Very frustrating.

All of my other synths work fine.
any ideas?

uhm, absolutely no idea man. i know nothing about cubase so im completely stumped.
