we all do.

radio 1 can never be the same. independent music will never be the same. the guy was so ahead of his time in broadcasting vision and seeing music without boundaries or genre formats that no one has come close, and i doubt anyone will.

utter legend.

rip.

boundaries or formats

I couldn't agree more. The day John Peel died I was just so shocked. The reality is he's irreplacable - without doubt the most significant DJ ever.

I listen back to so many of his shows, loved it when he always asked Anita the producer what went wrong and playing vinyl at 45 instead of 33 coz it sounds better ;)

I would also say that Rob Da Bank has a very diverse show on Radio 1 too, and his knowledge of music cannot be brought into question
