Hey I'm really new to this whole scene but I love it. I want to start DJing but I need advice on where to start...

can anyone suggest equipment? software? and essential records/tracks/artists? websites?

any advice would be totally appreciated

depends on how much you wanna spend
if you can beatmatch/dj on a shitty pair of belt drives then higher end stuff will be like a cakewalk
how much of a noob are ya?

a cheap dj in a box thing is all you need unless you wanna invest in high end gear off the bat that if the bug bites you you'll eventually get
everyone swears by technics, but i sold mine for stanton str8-150s and don't regret it at all
to find tunes you wanna buy dl mixes and go off tracklists
far as essentials dubstep wise there is too many to list

get the cheapest direct drive decks you can and learn to mix on those while you save up your money. if you have got bored of mixing before you can afford top of the range decks then mixing isn't for you and you will be glad you didn't spend shit loads on decent decks. if you are still keen then dont let anyone tell you technics are the best. they are the most common and you are likely to play on them everywhere you play but they are not the best. i also have stanton str8150's and would never trade them for technics
