UNBALANCED BASTARD INPUTS!! PLEASE HELP

Ok this may be such a simple question but why when i try to record from my mixer to pc/mac using a phone to jack (3.5mm) cable, why does the audio come in twice as powerfull on the right line and real weak on the left? i have used multiple cables/computers and mixers but still the same result
im trying to make a mix that needs to be done real soon
please please help me

try turning the balance knob for a quick fix... also make sure the cables are connected, headshells attached properly, make sure you don't have too much weight on your styli etc.

it was the cable! but han can so many 3.5mm to jacks be faulty? ive got like 6 and only one works now

3.5mm cables aren't very durable break all the time.

hence why you will very rarely see one in a studio.

short in the wire, loose connections, shitty cheap cable build
loads of reasons
