i'm not quite understanding why there is so much hate for dubstep, considering it is currently one of the most innovative genres in electronic music. i agree there are many formulaic and far too much over hyped artists, but what the fuck are people hating dubstep for this reason alone? read this shit

as if every genre of music doesn't have boring and uninventive artists... fuck the haters, i'm ready for an exciting year of 2009, and I predict its going to be even better than this already great year of music. thanks to everyone who contributed this year and have a great new years.

Been a alright year you know..The shape of dubstep has been mangled and twisted again - for the better I think to, whoever says its generic needs to dig deeper, some serious bombs have been dropped this year and its just scratching the surface ... Lets hope 09 keeps doing the same but not reaching the core, just yet.

It's been a fucking amazing year. Just incredible, and anyone who thiks otherwise is cutting their nose off to spite their face. When you have records as world-beating and VARIOUS as 'Broken Heart', 'Los Angeles', 'Play Doe', 'Blood Thirst', 'Fick', 'Zomby EP', that Spatial EP, everything that Hessle have put out, the Virus Syndicate, Starkey and Landstrumm albums... oh I could go on and on and on here... the idea that the music is uncreative and not moving forward is just SHTOOOOOOOOPID. I know people want to hold onto the idea of the purity of the initial explosion of creativity, and for sure there's generic stuff now, but any of those records I've mentioned there are as good anything in Dubstep's first flush of youth.
I still maintain that Dubstep needn't go the way of D&B but instead can mature like Techno did - and Techno is still a creative force TWENTY FIVE YEARS on!

D&B is maturing just fine thank you very much. Stop generalising.
The 90% crap to 10% good stuff rule still applies there.

just take a look on some newcomers mate..you are wrong!!!
for example(yea im hungarian too:)) DJ MADD... dubstep to the bone!
..more producers more style..thats all..everyone find his/her taste, and this is good, not bad at all, this is my opinion, hate me

why people are happy to bury something that has succes?
there are lots of oraculums out there...
btw i try to do my best to keep dubstep alive..

Not sure about all this dubstep dying rubbish, but in 2009 expect to see Ranking releases from RSD, Evergreen, Landlord, Ruckspin, Quark, Planas, Quantum Soul, Faun, Gentlemans Dub Club and more tba. These will include either seperate E.P's from Ruckspin, Quark, Planas & Quantum Soul respectively, or a Ranking album incorporating all 4...STAY TUNED!

i think it's the punters that need to mature. or at least mature punters need to continue supporting their scene and seek out the good nights instead of sitting at home complaining on internet forums lol
