logic 5.5 is actually waste

i use FL Studio for sequencing, Cubase for mixing and reason for its synths, also the mighty z3ta+

I've been there, man. Lost a few to Ableton fuckin' up.

I use Renoise, which has never done that.

I feel :( for you bro... Lost a track to file curruption the other day....

Anyways, Reaper and Reason are what I use.

Thing is though, if your a Live addict, nothing will ever be the same again for you. All the other sequencer hosts being mentioned here are just that.... Vanilla fucking sequencers!!

Yeah
Lost plenty of tunes in Ableton due to File corruption
But also lost tunes in other sequencers such as logic
had it happen on both PC an Mac
File corruption happens unfortunately
Just back things up
And make sure you dont run other processes outside of your sequencer when you save your set

Sonar 7 Producer, used to be 300 quid, you can pick it up in DV247 for 100 now that sonar 8 is out. then you can get the upgrade for another 100, its cheaper than buying sonar 8 by itself :P.

Theyve got deals on too with sonar 7, rapture, dimension pro, and project 5 for like £200, all of these at their RRP's are woth about £700, Its worth is just for rapture and Dimension pro..

heres the link.

Strictly FL8 for me.

I would like to have Logic 8 and use it in similar way to Benga, but this isnt going to happen as I need a Mac and have no money :(

i've lost bare stuff to ableton right up to the point where my (admittedly not strictly paid for) ableton live 6 itself just stopped opening.

never had issues with FL though, the way it works is a bit difficult to get used to but once you've got there it's nice.

but i'm on logic now any way so yeah..

Microsoft Paint for all my pads,
ImageReady for bass & synths,
Illustrator for wave editing,
Photoshop for drums,
Paint Shop Pro for sequencing and VST implementation

Sometimes I'll bust out uTorrent, Outlook Express, VLC Media Player, MagicDisc, ImgBurn, DaemonTools, OpenOffice, FontCreator or WinRAR though.
