U-Ome started on his musical path back in 1989, when he got his first hip-hop tape ever, which led him to be an avid music fan for life. In late 2005 he heard some dark dubstep tunes with a D&B twist and he was hooked instantly. Shortly thereafter, Albert started the Steps In Time Recordings label to feature stateside dubstep tunes.
Teaming up with 6Blocc (aka R.A.W./BBoy-3000) under the moniker HOODZ, they started to harness their love of DnB, Hip-Hop, Dub/Reggae, Funk, Electro and ALL types of music into their version of Dubstep.
HOODZ released the anthemic "Babylonia" on Tribe UK and has MASSIVE "Bad Mind" 12" forthcoming on Lo Dubs as well as a slew of heavy dubplates.
Watch out for big things from U-Ome in 2009
