vex'd doing firestarter...yup I'd buy that for a dollar

would it kill the scene though ???

...kinda like how all those MJ cole 2step RMXs just fucked their scene or even how all those RnB bootlegs kinda put a few people off breakz and made a few producers less than credible

I don't think so, if the tunes that got worked over were classics and added value rather than remove substance. As an example that tipper planet rock thing he did far surpasses the original...

...how about S&D doing goldies inner city life ???

Tipper could rip apart a fuckin abba tune and it would sound credible - the geezer's a genius.

However, the rest of breaks is magpie music and I wouldn't want dubstep to go down that route - it's got it's own thing goin without having to ride on other people's tunes to carry it off.

yeah it's like prog/trance is now breaks an breaks has become hiphop again...

...what i find is once you start folding other stuff into the mix it soon loses it's flavour

...the death of a scene is right after someone does a latin crossover :D

Total genius

I get crazy about Tipper the way people go nuts about Aphex Twin. One of my favourite producers. His album 'Surrounded' is in my all time top five...

^^^yeah me too

end of make believe is just about my favourite tune ever...

...surrounded has always reminded me of an abductee dreaming about home from an alien spaceship

tipper is an absolute genius. people should really delve into the back catalogs of him, si begg, buck funk 3000 - these guys were doing stuff so similar to what grime/dubstep is now, and doing it years and years ago.

Tipper aint got nothing to do with Fuel these days...The last couple of albums and singles were done on his own label - Tipper Music.

I would highly recommend getting the album 'Tip Hop' - Wonked out instrumental hip hip (with a couple of vocal cuts by MC Epcot)

Yo Head,
I'm with you on the Tipper comment. When I first got into Dubstep(...recently), Tipper was an artist that popped into my head.Shit he was doing years ago does sound similar to dubstep
