You can't.

No one knows why. Just use multiple instances at different rates.

Just caught that... I meant, you can't automate while its "Synched"... which I just assumed he meant. LOL

nah, record sections at different rates and do it as audio.
hmm, i just got massive deja vu

i thought you were suggesting having a differnt massive plugin with the same patch settings, except for the lfo rate. that would surely kill your computer... haha

I have used like 3 massives at once.. just have to have buffer like 150 ms, that is all.
also have multiple LFOs and automate their amounts or just use the unsynced variant, which is even better, synced wobbles are getting boring anyways.

I actually was asking the same question not long ago, so just messed with loads of stuff. If you deffinitely want to use massive, you can use a little trick to make pretty cool wobbles. Have 5 and 6 as LFO's (different rates) and apply them to filter 1 and 2 respectively. To the right of the filters there is a filter switch, place it all the way to one side (just one filter) and then set up 7 as a stepper, and assign it to the switch. Then you can draw a pattern of 0 or 12 in the stepper and on the 12s it should use the other filter. I would sync the stepper as well, then you get a nice clean transition.
I used to use just massive, until I started using logic, then found out I could automate a synced wobble using albino 3 (a far superior synth imho). I would suggest giving it a go, you just automate LFO1's synced rate, just like it should be for everything.
Hope this helps.

i found out how u automate the rate in massive.
make sure it isn't sync'd, hit A to enter Automation and choose MODULATER 5RATE and draw till the cows come home.
impossible my ass.

We all can do that. If you don't have a legit copy of massive then you usually don't have the version that allows syncing the synced mod rate.

I've been really curious, but you can time wobbles in albino by creating your master LPF on a 5 stage filter rather than with an LFO assignment, and then set them to be velocity controlled, then play a guessing game with the velocity levels to get your wobble timed to taste. Does massive have a velocity control function that could be applied this way?

This is quite an odd way to do it but you can open up automation and instead of using read use latch, then hit play open up massive and play around with the LFO's how you ever you want, stop, change back to read, and edit it from there.
Or just make duplicate tracks with different LFO rates. Takes up alot of space and I wouldn't recommend it but if it's the only option..
I use Logic 9, but have used 8 and do think the latch option is another way you could do it.

you cannot automate the rate of the lfo in massive while it is SYNCED, unsync it and itll work fine.
