Coki's tunes

(I know that he's quite commercialized in dubstep but just hear me it.)
I don't care what anybody says, coki does make the maddest tunes out of everyone in the scene, i'm not talking about the released tunes hes got even though they are amazing, I'm talking about some of the unreleased tunes, Robotnik has to be the maddest heaviest tune in the genre in my opinion followed by elektrostep. I know a lot of people are going to say a load of less known artists and say their tunes are heavier so these people sound like theyr'e mr dubstep but when your listening to robotnik on a very loud good quality system then most of you will be agreeing with me!
I am aware that robotnik is being released on ringo but at the moment it is still unreleased

there is no doubt..
tunes like spongebob, goblin and robotnik pushed an already forward moving sound evolution into something else completely. legendary impact....
so ye he can take credit where credit is due, as does everyone else who is pushing the boundaries a lot and moving things forward.
the only question is consistency. basically will he suprise us again and again with some more crazy shit and repeat the impact of those tunes with sumin new.

coki has some genius work no doubt, and anyone that disputes that is ignorant. But theres not much point in getting on the defensive about the man so much, with any artist there will be haters and lovers of the artist, i can see your passionate about his work but dont waste your energy i reckon..at the end of the day its all about opinion and there will always be negative and postive ones about everything. Just keep on supporting his music and coki will do his thing!

chill out mate...
yes 'Robotnik' is dope...
but there are other tunes which i personally believe are heavier...that is just my opinion...everyone is entitled to their own personal opinion...
Coki is a pioneer...no doubt...and i think he gets alot of love and respect from the dubstep community in general aswell...which he deserves...
the man has proved himself to be forward thinking and diverse...he goes from making tracks like 'Officer', 'Mood Dub', 'Stuck', 'Jah Fire', 'Mad Head', 'Untitled', 'Thief In The Night', 'Triple Six' and 'Mawo Dub' (with Mala)...
to tunes like 'Haunted', 'Spongebob', 'Robotnik', 'Goblin', '666', 'Road Rage' etc etc etc...
amazing work...
i look forward to seeing where he chooses to go next with his sound...
BIG UP COKI!!!

Not a fan of Goblin and tracks like this. It sounds agressive on surface...But there is definately heavy stuff that is deeper at the same time (Chase and Status - Eastern Jam, is a great example of this).
What I will always thank Coki for producing is Burnin'. Love to smoke a spliff to that track.
Haunted is pretty nice too.

I have recently concluded that Blood Thirst is probably my favourite dubstep tune to date.

dr robotnik is one of the most badass tunes ever built.

yeah obviously i like his other tunes, mood dub is one of my favourite tunes and haunted probably is my favourite tune and bloodthirst is just brutal but i was only saying that i think robotnik is the maddest tune ive proably ever heard.
I'm not just into mad tunes like that i'm into everything, didn't mean to be rude, sozzzzzz
Ne way does anyone remember a tune that coki made with this guy saying " I swear" throughout most the tune. some of the vocals are used in triple 6
but it is far superior to triple 6, think it's probably a lot more mala influenced, n-type used to drop it on rinse back in late 2006 to early 2007
anyone know what i'm gwarnin on about?

coki's a badman standard. plus what big soundsystems have u heard him on in rugby?
Posted: Sun Jan 25, 2009 12:19 pm

no i didnt mean in rugby, when i said good sound system i didn't just mean live i meant a decent home audio setup, decent car audio setup, probaly doesn't quite do it justice compared irration steppas system or dmz but i was only saying. There is nothing in rugby btw

Coki is probably one of the most boring and unimaginative producers out there, soooo bland!
It's obviously not all his tunes, but take tracks like 'all of a sudden'..
I mean honestly.. he's used that horrible wob wob wob in so many tunes, and the beats are all really simmilar aswell, i really dont rate coki at all, and when i saw him he couldnt even get a record in time, and i dont give a shit if he pioneered the scene or has anything to do with dmz, theyre all boring aswell.

I dig his overall sound-aesthetic, though his tracks get a bit samey sometimes. e.g. his 4-tracker for Big Apple bored me to tears..
I prefer his older tunes, pre-2006ish.
