Going to be an ace night! My band played with a band she was drumming in a while back think it was august2007, that's how I found out about her dubstep stuff. Totally hooked on some of her tunes!

I'll be down for this if there are some guarantees that it'll be better run than the last Ballers/Ivy caper. Let's be honest here, the Jamie Vex'd gig was a fuckin shambles - the bar was barely stocked, we had to sit through 2 and a half hours of fucking disco as support for a dubstep set, and then Jamie played for all of about half an hour before the pub pulled the plug. Deeply dissapointing

the venue wasnt really ready which was out of my hands so we didnt charge anyone in..ballers isnt a dubstep night so i was quite happy to listen to disco / hiphop before jamie..the license again was out of my hands and jamie prefers to play for 45mins - 1hr...jamie wil be back for a proper club spot in september...the owner of the ivy is a good friend and asked me to co ordinate the launch so i picked an old friend ala jamie vex'd and a unknown ala chesca..was supposed to be fully ready but wasnt..nadda to do with me!
the venue will be fully ready for ikonika as i threatened to move the show..iv also got some ideas on how to make the space, atmosphere and venue work better...we will be chargin in this time and you wont get a better chance to see big names in an intimate enviroment..aiight>?

to be honest you cant complain too much about a free night. All things considered thought was good night.
i didnt mind the disco shit 3/4 hours of solid dubstep can get bit tiresome sometimes. Plus while short jamie vex'd set was all killer no filler.
Ikonika shud be dope my payday

Fair play mate, I acknowledge the issues with the venue are well out of your control, I just hope they don't persist! As for disco, I don't necessarily expect 3 hours of dubstep just cos the headliner is dubstep, but I'd expect something else that would appeal to a similar crowd - personally I can't see much crossover appeal between dubstep and disco, but hey, I guess I'm biased
Glad to hear Jamie will be back for a proper show in September, will look forward to that one

chesca actually comes from a hip hop background and wasnt meant to play so much disco..we also planned to have fineart play bassier shit before jamie but cause of the time limitations we pushed chesca later...i literally put on music i like at ballers..the line ups are diverse and im happy with that..keeps you all guessin..hehe.
i promise the ikonika gig will be better in all ways and jamie will always be a welcomed return.

The pressing question is, is chesca single and does she like white boys of the "big bone" persuasion ahaha.

Why don't the members of Al Qaeda go out to bars?
Because they can get bombed at home.
