Hey all.

Been making some beats on an Atari ST chip tracker...just square waves and 4 bit samples for most of the drums.

Would like your opinion on a couple of prods here:

http://www.8bitcollective.com/music/d0us/mofla/
http://www.8bitcollective.com/music/d0u ... live+mix)/

The first one I'm stuck on finishing..like its two tunes trying to break out!

No such as swing on this old tracker but tryingto sort of fake it with pattern lengths etc....

feedback really needed and welcome!!!

re: the first link...

really love the drum programming! awesome stuff =)
but dont like the first two 'bass lines' the 'wobble' is too slow for the drums

the third bassline is awesome though1!!

=)

thanks for the comments!

By third bassline do you mean the main part of the song or the little outro that should actually be another tune I think?

There is no lfo or anything like that on the ym2149 so the 'wobble' was faked by cuttting 'holes' in the wave and appregiating...and yes..completely out of time!!! I thought it added some character though..

but i will work on it.

Thanks for the comment on the drums....16 step solid patterns make it hard to attempt the more swing and 'shuffly' beats so i messed around with pattern lengths to get a 'swing' feel in a straight 4/4 settting
