wtf....
i have been here since september last year and this is the first forum i have belonged to of any kind.since i have been here i have seen it change alot....its become more like a place people go to scoop up free shit but the people who made this place great when i came still make it great now....there are some big ass talent here who know who they are that from time time make music just to give it back to the forum and they not only come here looking for feedback on thier stuff but give feedback to others.those people are why i still come here and why i still share free stuff here from time time and i have not only never seen a post from you but i have never seen feedback from you....not that i am saying there isnt any but what i am saying is who the hell are you to pronounce this forum dead. i love this place and will continue to participate
much respect to those that deserve it

Personally i try to give feedback/criticize everything that bothers me, but if nothing bothers me the post just gets "Big up! dirty tune" or something in the likes of it. There are tons of musical talents here that just deserves being heard, and somewhat without this forum it would never happen.
This forum isn't dead.

i think the fact there has already been so many replies shows that it isnt dead.i myself get all i need from here.......i post a track for feedback and sometimes it works out and sometimes it gets downloaded 100 times and no feedback.i dont care that much......its nothing personal.the fact is that sticky feet is right without this forum where we all seem to pool together there would be a lot of talent that never gets heard.as far as negative feedback goes.....im not that much of a critic.the truth is there is so many people doing it now i dont have time to tell them all how to do it.i have my own releases to worry about.i will give good feedback on a track because it has dual use a. it points out what is good about it and b.it sets it apart from the tracks that arent doin it.so maybe your friend didnt get a lot of comments but other dope shit did...does that mean the forum is dead or people just arent feeling you freinds stuff.btw this is the dubs section......not the discussion section.

STOON wrote:but i thought the whole idea of this forum was to give feedback
actually, the general idea of the dubs sub forum was this....
dubway wrote:idea is that we will have all dubstep releases on one place.
so, when some newcomer (or someone who was on vacation last mont) comes here - he can see exactly what was released and where he can buy it..
dubstep catalog
cos when you come to general forum it's very hard to trace down releases, and that's what many ppl wants to find (the same story is with mixes forum)
i suppouse, label owners should post their new releases here..
where will you discuss? - it's your choice
releases
EDIT:- might want to consider changing the title of this thread to "this forum can be slightly arrogant at times"

i view almost every thread and post thanks on every one i take.
i think a lot of stuff goes on Via AIM and PM's in general. all it is, is a place for exposure! if people get tunes from an artist, and like them, im pretty sure they generally contact the artists and keep in touch/give feedback via other communication.
i personally love this place.

i like this place too, but i totally agree with the op. If more people would leave feedback, we can keep pushing this shit as far as it will go.

i think that sometimes people post tracks expecting a level of feedback that isnt always justified, and perhaps that is why not enough feedback is sometimes given, ?
i mean, if i see a post that says 'dirty phat beat, you must grab this!'
then i go on it, have a listen, and hear some shit ass drum loop with with a wash of bass is generally makes me cringe a bit, and rather than give a post i edge quietly away!
but there is some good stuff, i havent been using this forum long, (only posted one track, literally just came on to throw another up, ha)
its weird sometimes when you see a post thats had a lot of love, when the tracks really not worth it, and then you see a post with a genuinely good track that's had hardly any feedback or love.
but ahhh well!

i think it might help if there was some moderation and all "sub par" tunes production wise were put into the feedback thread in the production forum. where people are always willing critique and tell you whats lacking with your track and give you tips on making it better. Leave the dubs forum for tracks that are looking to get signed or are getting released. I feel sometimes that after go'n through 4 or 5 posts that are obviously songs that aren't finished that people get discouraged to leave feedback after a while. just my opinion.
