hey all im new to this genre but way excited to start making tracks.

i was wondering if anyone knew a good place to get some good drum loops that i can use to learn with and eventually to make my own from scratch which is my goal, i just want to see correct examples first.

or is there a good thread/site that explains how to properly structure the beats for dubstep?

thanks for any help!

Use the SEARCH button, I've compiled a thread about drums. Just look for it.

Personally, if you don't know what dubstep sounds like or feels like, I'm not sure why you're trying to produce it. Listen to stuff, get the feel for what you want to do, and then try to do it. Then maybe come back with more specific questions if you want.
(from the FAQ / Beginners thread)

i feel like a dick :(

thanks man, ive already been reading this thread it seems to be the best initial resource. i just like to ask to see if anyone has a PERSONAL favorite resource, something the search function cannot provide.

I don't know of any dubstep drum programming tutorials per se, but why not sit down and analyse a few of the larger artists out there to see what their doing?

I learnt a lot about programming a certain kind of pattern by listening to two tunes with a similar style.

I guess the old addage applies here: "Emulate then innovate"! :)

It'd definately be best looking at some drum loops but constructing them from scratch too, so that you understand how it all works, learn both and use the one thats best for you
