No but you won't find anything worth using for that money. Save up a little more imo.

im no expert but i reckon they would be ok for just producing. i have the v-500 and i use them for mixing. but the ones you are looking at are v150 so i duno if the sound quality would be much difference

i payed £50. but that was bout 5 years ago now. i would imagine they would be a bit cheaper now. the v150 was reduced from £20. i still think they would be fine considering you are on a tight budget. fuck me i just searched for the mdr v500 and its £61.99 here :o http://www.headphoneworld.com/p/Sony_MD ... phones.htm

I have a pair of v500's I thought they wouldn't sound much different than the v600. Wrong, the v500's sound like absolute shite. The v600's are ok for djing, v500's aren't good for anything. SAVE UP. Look into v6 or AKG k240, Sennheiser HD25 something like that.

Save up another £100 and get some Sennheiser HD25's theyll last you years and you'll be so happy you bought them a few years down the line...

hey Numan, i would say those headphones are pretty damn good for 11 quid or whatever. My experiance with sony headphones is that they sound pretty good but after about a year or so (depending on how much you use them) the foam padding that makes them at all comfortable disintergrates and they are no longer wearable. But that pair have a v.good frequency response range for that amount of money (18-22000hz). But you get what you pay for, the more you spend the better it'll sound but make sure that, if you're planning to use them for producing, you get a pair of headphones that have a pretty flat frequency response curve (no particular frequencies, highs lows or mids, are accentuated)

personally i think these headphones are crap. in the last year ive gone through 5 or so pair. i should realized by the 2nd i should of just saved for much better quality...the cord is too thin, wears down easily, same with the headphone jack

IMO save up and get HD-25's. Robust, every part is replaceable and excellent sound. Its false economy buying cheap headphones. Anything under £80 aint worth it.

I have had my Sony's for like 8 years now. I think they are solid. They sound like shit though. Wouldn't use them for anything but djing. They do have high end cans but we are talking $$$$$$$$$$$$.
