Interesting reading, but you do have the option to not receive messages and deny access to folks who want an add so I'm not so sure that it's necessarily that bad. I generally ignore the ads anyway, but did notice that one of those "what happened next?" type ads brought up a warning on my firewall saying that I would be accessing a spysite so probably worth just using it for the networking and avoid the marketing shite.

Mind you I've only been there a week so whaddoo I know.

ads, what ads?

1. download the latest version of firefox from
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

2. download/install adblock from
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1865/

3. restart firefox and download/install filterset.g from
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1136/

4. restart firefox and have fun seeing 99% less ads!
