just wondering what sort of effects people are using to make their tunes sound warmer because my tracks just dont sound quite how i want them. do you put chorus on your bass and always reverb your snares etc. any tips would be a great help

How do you mean they don't sound how you want them?
You mention chorus on bass and reverb on snares, but that your tunes aren't warm enough - how do you mean, 'warm'? Full-sounding? They sound thin, or cold, or... erm... what?

you could put warm distortion on?

I'm pretty sure there's a plugin where's there's actually a setting called "warmth".

they are just very unnatural sounding. i want each element of the track to blend together to give an overall warm feeling but at the moment they have a regimented feel to them. take a listen to the tunes on my myspace and i am sure you will hear what i mean

try having notes overlapping instead of ending then goign to the next one, gives a nicer feel to a tune, the notes flow into each other then

tape saturation and group busses with some common verb, compression etc
plenty of ways to gel sounds together

I'd layer your drums more...
vintage warmer will make a little difference too

reverb, delay, distortion, bit crushing, compression...
you mention a regimented feel to you tracks. are you applying swing to them?
also, try some volume changes on your hats, this can add a new "live" energy to a track for very little work
